Born in 1955 in London, it was whilst working on a 747 simulaor as electronics engineer that Tony gained the dubious distinction of ‘successfully’ crashing a Jumbo jet three times!

Many years later, working at a production company as Studio Sound Engineer, Tony quickly progressed to video editor of their 3 machine 1” suite. He added 3 Betacam SP machines, a huge 3ME Switcher and much ancillary equipment, led by his drive to achieve more and more from the limited capabilities of the technology of the day.

On hearing of Digital Studio Tony knew that he shared that same vision. He finally convinced his bosses to buy the first production DS in the UK, and has been with it since V1.

In February 2003 Tony and his wife Patti, set up HD Heaven, a DS HD Boutique facility in Birmingham UK, catering to high-end broadcasters and corporate clients.
To date, Tony estimates he has edited several thousand TV commercials and well over a hundred Broadcast programmes.

Tony became a DS ACI on DSv2 and is currently a beta tester for DS as well as Tinder, Sapphire, Speed Six and Photron plug-ins. Tony is noted as a DS ‘guru’ and is pleased to be able to share some of his experience at NAB this year.

Tony Quinsee-Jover handles the editing and technical side of the business. Tony has been editing for over 18 years and in that time has made around 2,500 television commercials, many broadcast programmes for all of the major Channels, plus hundreds of corporate videos. He's even made a few Pop Promos.

Importantly, as well as gaining huge experience over the years Tony has retained the creative spark and enthusiasm that helps to make a program "sparkle". That is why the list of clients for whom Tony has edited includes Armor All, Avon, BBC, Black & Decker, British Airways, Bryant Homes, Channels 3, 4, and 5, Continental Tyres, David Wilson Homes, Diagio, Emap, Guinness, Hammonds Furniture, HP Bulmer, Land Rover, Discovery and Freelander, London Taxis International, Lunn Poly, Maersk Air, Marconi, McCarthy & Stone, Noritsu, Numark, Ocean Finance, PEL, PPG, Progen, Rover75, Samsonite, Showerlux, Sky Sports, Tandy, UDV (United Distillers), TV2 Denmark and many many more.

As a co-director of the company, Patti Quinsee-Jover handles both the accounts and all the other business aspects of HD Heaven.  Patti's enthusiasm, cheery smile and attention to detail is what helps to keep HD Heaven on track in
today's highly competitive market. Whether it's looking after our clients' needs, or welcoming them with her warm personality, Patti ensures that they feel right at home the minute they walk in the door.  By creating a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, Patti gives our clients the best possible working environment; making their visit to HD Heaven even more pleasurable. By putting her own
personal touches to both the office and the edit suite Patti has helped to create that "HD Heavenly" experience.

Assisting Tony in the editing and technical side of the business, Joe came knocking on HD Heaven's door in May 2005 after completing his degree in Broadcast and Multimedia Technology at the University of Sunderland - 1st class honours degree in his pocket.

Being a long time friend of technology, university education was an excellent
opportunity for Joe to dive into the various aspects of TV and video production- from engineering and networking to video editing, 3D animation and script writing. Joe’s initial interest was in sound recording: practicing his skills on the numerous rock groups stemming across the country from the Midlands to the North East, in which he was a bassist or a guitarist.

The degree allowed for Joe to appreciate the traditional video production methods- namely the manual nature of sound and video editing and special effects creation. The interests expanded into camera work and video NLE, allowing for various creative, technical and sometimes mathematical skills to be applied.

Before HDheaven, Joe worked his way into a local FM radio station (from being the station’s chicken mascot!) where he edited a short video promo (yes they do exist in radio!!) and gained experience with radio broadcast equipment.

Joe came to HD Heaven with varied video and sound production and editing experience - and when he's not editing he's passionate about all types of music and a great bass player. Joe cannot sing.
